At The Busy Bee, it is extremely important to us to maintain low teacher to student ratios across all age groups. This facilitates our relationship based program and allows teachers to get to know each child's interests and abilities to help maximize their potential.
Children are assigned to classrooms based on their age, individual needs, and available space. Each classroom schedule is customized based on the age of the children, to include as many learning opportunities as possible.

Ages: 1 - 2 years old
The toddler 1 classroom has two full time teachers, allowing students to consistently be in the care of nurturing, familiar faces which helps facilitate bonding. Teachers focus on creating routines and experiences that are meaningful for our youngest learners.
The infant classroom is equipped with soft surface climbers, foam blocks, and low level furniture for exploration ideal for new walkers. In the infant classroom, students follow a flexible schedule that incorporates sensory rich experiences, exploration, and outdoor time, yet still allows each child to eat and sleep on demand.
Ages: 2 to 3 years old
The toddler 2 classroom has two full time teachers, allowing students to create meaningful, lasting relationships with their peers and teachers.
Toddler teachers focus on creating opportunities for purposeful play and offering nurturing guidance. We begin to establish meaningful routines by following a flexible schedule that incorporates both individual and group activities, center time, outdoor play, lunch, nap, and snack time.
Ages: 3 to 4 years old
The Preschool classroom has one full time lead teacher and one full time teaching assistant to provide support during instructional times and transitions.
Preschool students participate in center time, both individual and group activities, outdoor play, lunch, nap and snack. Teachers guide students through purposeful play and meaningful questions. Students begin to engage in whole group instruction in the form of music time, story time, and morning circle. Students are having so much fun that they don't even realize they are developing skills to prepare them for future academic success!
Ages: 4 and 5 years old
The Pre-Kindergarten classroom has one full time lead teacher and one full time teaching assistant to provide support during instructional times and transitions.
Pre-Kindergarteners are eager to explore and learn more about the world around them! Teachers encourage discovery through intentional play, student guided investatigation, meaningful questioning, direct instruction, and discussion.
