The Busy Bee Preschool is owned and operated by The Bookout Family. Bobby, Kathryn, and their two sons moved to Manor in the Fall of 2015.
Kathryn, the director of The Busy Bee, graduated from Texas State University in 2012 with a bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education. She went on to obtain a Master’s Degree in Special Education from Concordia University in 2014.
Prior to opening The Busy Bee, Kathryn was the lead Pre-K teacher at The Rise School of Austin, a local non-profit preschool for children with and without disabilities. Through this unique experience, she witnessed the benefit that all children receive from an individualized, child centered, preschool experience.

As a parent, I understand the important role a childcare provider plays in the life of a young child. As an educator, I am over joyed for the opportunity to share my passion, my education, and my teaching experience. As a resident of Manor, I am so excited for the opportunity to have a positive and lasting impact on our community by providing high quality early childhood education services to our youngest children.”
